About Us
The Old Crown is a unique building located on the corner of Museum Street and New Oxford Street. The pub dates back to 1851 years and has a character all of its own. Two of the three floors are open to the public at all times, while all 3 have a different vibe to each of them. We manage to offer a whimsical escape from the busy streets that surround and come once you come in you get the impression it has offered this for quite some time.
You can find reference to The Old Crown in Hogarth's famous Beer Street & Gin Lane from 1751. The spire of St George's church is just on the opposite side of the street - so it is fair to say we have some heritage when it comes to serving a libation or two.
